A Generation That Seek Him | BY Fred Adegoke

e-scribe“He Taketh Away The First That He May Establish The Second”

“A SEED shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a GENERATION. They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be BORN, that he hath done this.” (Psalm 22:30-31)

This is the GENERATION of them that seek him, that seek thy face O God of Jacob.” (Psalm 24:6)

It is very important that God’s people in this land should recognize and appreciate the plan of the Almighty God for them in these last days. There is a definite work in this land among Gods people. The Lord is separating a people unto himself. A people who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord or who shall stand in his holy place. At the time Jesus was born in a city of David called Bethlehem the whole nation of Israel was not aware that a king had been born that was going to affect the entire universe in such a profound manner. The religious leaders at that time were equally not aware because they were too busy with their programs, law Reforms (Revivals) Church expansion projects and raising of funds for the same purpose. They could not discern that a great work had begun in the earth, in the person of Jesus coming to the earth. “And she brought forth her first born son, wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn”  (Luke 2:7)

The entrance of our Lord Jesus Christ into this world was so simple and very unimpressive. He was born in a manger. Yet that was the path that the Almighty had chosen to bring such a profound work into the earth. The whole thing went without sophistication. No wonder men who were ruled by their senses, by the spectacular, by their flesh could not identify that he had been born.  But thank God that there were some men in the spirit who were in the same country, they were shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night ( Matthew 2:8). There were just three of them. The angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them. These shepherds that watched their flock by night symbolize a people in this end time who shall know the joyful sound, they shall walk in the light of the countenance of the Almighty God (Psalm 89:15).

The Lord is quietly but definitely bringing forth a work in the church today. Just like David had to leave the courts of Saul because it was no longer safe and beneficial spiritually to him. David had to leave in response to an inward call to a higher life and ministry which he knew he could not achieve in the courts of Saul. David’s call was to a life of self crucifixion and total death to self for that is the only path to the higher life. Except a grain of corn will fall to the ground and DIE, it abides alone. David departed and escaped to the cave Adullam and there he began a life in the wilderness living in caves, moving from pillar to post seeking a higher life in the spirit, desiring to make it to the throne only through God’s own way (1 Samuel 22:1-2). God is raising men in this hour in the same manner who will make it to the throne.

A people are coming forth in this hour who will be like the sons of Zadok they shall not only minister to the house but they shall stand before the Lord and minister to the Lord (for there is a difference between ministering to the house and ministering to the Lord) Ezekiel 44. These ones shall enter into the sanctuary of the Lord; they shall ascend unto His Holy Hill. Ezekiel 44:17. They shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, while they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within. They shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with anything that causeth SWEAT (meaning that it shall not be by man’s energy. The arm of the flesh will fail. It is man’s energy that causes the sweat but it is going to be by the spirit alone. The realm of ministry via sweating is the realm of ministering to the house. This is the realm where ministers carve little kingdoms and empires around themselves. They and their wives become the “be it all and end it all”. They are the president and their wives are the Vice-President. The whole thing becomes a big family business. This type of ministry cannot be God. This is a ministry to the house (self) rather than a ministry to the Lord. The motive of every man will be judged and tried in this last hour. The gold (the ministry) is become dim, the most fine gold is changed. The stones of sanctuary are poured out in the top of every street. The precious sons of Zion that are comparable to fine gold. They have become as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of men (Lamentation 1:2). This is the situation of the Church today but the Lord is raising a David in this hour, he is raising a band of men and women across the country who are yearning for a total restoration of the gold that has now become dim. The Lord shall see the travail of his soul and shall be satisfied in these ones. Theses ones shall ascend into the hill of the Lord, they shall have clean hands, and a pure heart, they will not lift up their soul unto vanity, nor swear deceitfully. This is the generation of them that will seek him that will seek the face of the God of Jacob in these last days.

A Seed Shall Serve Him:
It must be abundantly clear in our minds that a seed shall rise and serve our God in spirit and in truth in this last hour. (Romans ch. 9 v. 29”) And as Isaiah said before, except the Lord of Sabath had left us a SEED, we had been as Sodom, and been made like unto Gomorrah”. A seed shall serve him and it shall be accounted to the Lord for a GENERATION. In John’s Gospel Chapter 4 something very striking transpired between Jesus and that woman of Samaria centered around Jacob’s well. verse 5-6  “Then cometh he to a city of Samaria which is called sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Now Jacob’s well was therefore wearied with his journey sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour”. It is significant that Jesus sat on the well. Jesus was in essence announcing the end of a realm of ministry that proceeded from that well (Realm of the human ability). Verse 13 “Jesus answered and said unto her whosoever drinketh of his water (from the well) shall thirst again”. The well had been useful, it had served as a channel of blessing to many (in fact to our fathers and great grand fathers) but not so any more, Jesus seem to be saying. This well can no longer meet God’s demand. It can no longer meet God’s standard.

We must understand brethren that there is a ministry that once served, that is fading away in the land today. The Lord is indeed taking away the first that he might establish the second. It was a difficult message for this woman of Samaria to take. This is all she had been used to all her life. How can anyone now tell us that there is something more than what we are getting from this well (from our denomination, from our group). After all we are the oldest and may be largest Pentecostal church around town. Hear what the Samaritan woman said to Jesus verse 12 “Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children and his cattle”. The woman went further to challenge Jesus in verse 20 “Our fathers worshipped in this mountain” and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship”. It was after this that Jesus spoke prophetically about this seed that shall serve him in this last hour verse 21-24” Jesus saith unto her, woman, believe me (notice the emphasis, Jesus was very serious about what he was about to say), the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the father…, But the hour cometh, and now is, when true worshippers shall worship the father in spirit and in truth (A seed shall serve him)  for the father seeketh such to worship him. God is a spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth”. These verses describe the nature and the character of the work that the Lord is bringing forth in this hour.

God is seeking a departure from this earthly and shallow worship that we experience in many of our Pentecostal churches today. God is weary of our man made, tailored made of worship, tailored after the world and its system. Jeremiah 2:13 “ For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of the living waters, and hewed them out cisterns broken cisterns, that can hold no water” (cisterns means an artificial reservoir, built of rock or brick, excavated in the rock to hold rain water). Men are building kingdoms around themselves entrenching themselves, forgetting that, that which is highly exalted in the sight of men is abomination in the sight of God. Little wonder that our lives are artificial, our commitments shallow, and our light dim with a resultant darkness in the land. “We have been with child. We have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of this world (Nigeria) fallen (and turn to God)’ Isaiah 26:18. We must repent and turn to God afresh. “Why seeing times are not hidden from the almighty, do they know him NOT SEE HIS DAYS? (Why have we been deceived for so long we see not his plan) some even remove the landmark; they violently take away the flock (milk them dry for personal gains) and Feed thereof…….. They reap everyone his corn in the filed: and they gather the vintage of the wicked (they take offering from sinners). They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering in the cold. They cause him to go naked without clothing, and they take away the sheaf from the hungry Job 24:1-2, 6, 7, 10”. The word of the Lord to this type of leaders in the church is contained in Jeremiah 25:34-35 “Howl, ye shepherds and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes, ye principal of the flock (leaders of the flocks); for the days of your slaughter and dispersion (of innocent flock) are accomplished; and ye shall FALL like a pleasant vessel. And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal, of the flock to escape”. Let us pray for Mercy and repent before it is too Late, for judgment will begin right in the household of God. “For his voice shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, yet once more, signified the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made (everything that is man made, made out of selfish carnal motive in the church today), that those things which cannot be shaken may remain…… “so that we can receive a kingdom that cannot be shaken” Hebrew 12:26-28”

A Time of Restoration:
Our faith, our consolation as we share this burden that the Lord has laid on our hearts with all believers rests in the fact that God is going to restore his people in this hour” I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you Joel 2:25”. A people shall be born, a seed shall serve him, a generation shall seek his face. This great army shall come forth in these last days and they shall declare his righteousness. This is what the creations are groaning and waiting for, the manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ until this restoration work is completed Acts 3:21

This is the word of the Lord to all those who care to listen Zechariah 14:6-7 “it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark (This means that things will be hazy, there will be compromise, the gold will become dim, the difference between the vile and the precious will be blurred). But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night but it shall come to pass, that AT EVENING TIME IT SHALL BE LIGHT Zechariah 14:6-7. “This is our great consolation that in this hour of darkness, in this evening time we have this hope that there shall be light, there shall be restoration. “Arise, shine for thy light is come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For behold, the darkness upon the people; BUT the Lord shall arise upon thee Isaiah 60:1-2”. You can be a part of this great light that the Lord is bringing forth in this hour. If you can turn honestly and sincerely to the Lord and take your mask off, disengage yourself from every man made covering, come out from the jail houses of men called denominations. The only true covering that believers should have is the Lord Jesus Christ. Your pastor or your denomination cannot be your covering. The shepherds or pastors are supposed to teach the people of God and provide examples for them not rule over them or claim to be their covering. “Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that COVER WITH A COVERING, NOT OF MY SPIRIT, they add sin to sin Isaiah 30:1”. The hour has come for God’s people to be free, to come out of captivity and serve their God in holiness and in truth. But unto you that fear His name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings and ye shall go forth and grow up as calves of the stall Malachi 4:2.

This call is not a call to join a new fellowship, or a new move; it is however a call to return to the Lord, for unto the Lord shall the gathering of His people be (Genesis. 49:10). Unto him alone shall all flesh come (Psalm 65:2) not unto men? Men are not called unto institutions or denominations or organizations men are called unto Christ, they must look only to Christ, the author and the finisher of our faith. Fellowships and gatherings can only be fruitful and rewarding when Christ remains the focus. Christ remains the fulcrum around which everything revolves, for other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is JESUS CHRIST 1 Corinthians 3:11. The church therefore belongs to Christ. He is the chief shepherd and the only head of the church. He is the only founders of the church. All the presidents and founders are liars “verily, verily, I say unto you. He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. John 10:1-2”. Jesus said upon this rock (this revelation) will I build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail.

We must seek God for a mighty breakthrough in our land. The old time spirit of the early and mid-seventies must return, the present spirit of materialism, artificiality and shallow life must give way to a deep work of the spirit among God’s people in this land. We challenge you to go into your closet to seek the face of God in fasting and in prayers. We are sure that the Lord will confirm this truth that we share today in your heart. God’s people are separated by thick walls built by men. True fellowship is no longer possible because the issue now is what church, ministry or group you belong to not Christ who is the head of the church. Men and women are held firmly and securely behind these walls. They are therefore unable to rise above their masters who keep them within these walls. Yet the church must conform to the image of Christ. This situation is not God’s will.

A church must arise within the church, a nation within a nation – a generation must arise that will seek his face. They like Joel’s army will leap over these walls, these man made walls and they will flow in the spirit according to God’s divine order. Their eyes will be fixed only on the Lord. The Levites that carried the ark in the Old Testament were like a nation within nation, they were a church within a church, the Lord was their inheritance (their vision was the Lord alone). They were the only ones qualified to carry the ark, they stayed in the midst of Jordan until the entire nation of Israel passed upon dry land. These Levites symbolize a people that shall be born in this last hour, the overcomers, they that seek that shall serve him and they shall be accounted for a generation. Notice that the Levites were selfless, they were completely dead to self and had no physical inheritance, and the Lord was their portion. They sought no glory for themselves but their desire was to glorify the Lord and he alone at all times. This is the mark of a true ministry, and this is the purpose of our call into Christ.
