Lesson 2

Most of us do not have the kind of prayer life we should have; most people give up on prayer either because they do not understand the significance of prayer, or they do not know how to pray. On the other hand, we may know about prayer, but our understanding and practices are not yet aligned to Christ as the Lord. Others may have prayer lives but they are not having effectual prayers, because they focus only on themselves-interests or personal agenda.

One might presume that a Christian in a church setting automatically knows why and how to pray, but few have been taught about the power, relevance, and importance of prayer. Therefore, presumptions persist and perhaps even prayers made become modeled after someone else, not from what God has communicated to us in His Word.
