The question to ask in our hearts is, “Why do I need to understand the scriptures?”
- One of the channels, among others (let us mention some other channels we know), that we can use to fellowship, communicate, and interact with the Lord until we become like Him is The Word. Psalm 1:2; 119:97, 1 John 3:9.
- The Word of God and accurate understanding of it is required for the constant, consistent and continuous growth of the believer unto maturity and fullness. 1 Peter 2:2; Hebrews 5:13-14; James 1:21, 1 Peter 1:9.
- The times we are in call for a renewed passion to check the veracity of everything we hear or see, from the pages of scriptures. Acts 17:11. The deception and delusion that has hit, and will yet hit, the world requires us to be strongly founded on the Word of God. It must be stated that the deception that will hit the world is prophecy. The operation of the tail of the dragon and the false prophet support this. Luke 21:8; 2 Timothy 3:13; Revelation 19:20; 20:10.
